Advanced Studio Immersive: Developing Voice & Cohesion

This four-week, in-studio experience is designed for artists ready to move beyond experimentation and begin shaping a focused, cohesive body of work.

Join me inside my working studio for an intimate, hands-on mentorship where you’ll:
• Develop a small series of artwork
• Refine your visual language
• Engage in meaningful critique + dialogue
• Push your materials and take intentional risks
• Learn how to present and talk about your work

This is where your ideas sharpen, your voice strengthens, and your work begins to connect.

***Who This Is For

Artists who have completed the initial in-studio immersive with Val, or studied with Val in the Abstraction Now classes or have a strong foundational practice and are ready to:

• Move from experimentation into clarity and direction

• Develop a body of work, not just individual pieces

• Strengthen their confidence in both making and discussing their art

Structure & Details

• 4 weekly sessions, 3 hours each

• Wednesdays 1:00 pm – 4:00pm May 20, May 27, June 3, and June 10, 2026

• In-person, Valerie Allen’s studio

• Small group format for individualized mentorship

• Held in a “down and dirty” working studio environment —come prepared to work
